Pastor wasn’t always headed for the pulpit.
He grew up in Horseheads, NY, and spent most of his adult life managing stores — Walmart, Kohl’s, Harbor Freight.
Then in 2011, on Palm Sunday, he was baptized into Christ. Confirmed that same Christmas Eve.
Something had changed.
By 2015, he was pursuing a Lay Ministry certification through Concordia University Wisconsin — just trying to help out at church. By 2017, he and his family had packed up and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to begin seminary at Concordia Theological Seminary.
He graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2021. Ordained on June 13 at his home church, Calvary Lutheran in Waterloo, NY. Installed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Parkersburg, WV on June 19.
Dan and his wife Julie have five kids — Alexander, Emily, Nicholas, Casey, and Kelly. When they’re not at church, you’ll probably find them outside somewhere.
His favorite verse says it all: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.” — Psalm 55:22
